Run girl, runWhat is your favorite cardio? Mine is running. Mainly because I find that it gives me the best results. By running on the treadmill 5x a week I was able to drop 3lbs a week. Over 3 weeks that was 9lbs! Such an amazing feeling! In addition to weight loss I also found that I running helped me with my overall endurance and stamina. My energy skyrocketed and I am sure my lungs and heart were happy. Attached is a 30 minute treadmill program for you to try. Save the image and print it. Take it with you on the treadmill and try this run if you have been doing speed walking or have been somewhat active with any type of cardio in the last few months. This particular program starts by building speed and then incorporating some incline. The incline is great for the back of the legs. The time increments vary for challenge. If you find that it is too difficult don't be afraid to reduce your speed. If your knees start to get sore then stop for a few mins and stretch out your quadriceps. If they still continue to ache then just walk or stop entirely and try a few days later. I am excited for you to try this. Please send me emails and let me know if you find it challenging.
